Day 9 - of our holiday we checked out of the Kapok Hotel in Beijing and took an early Taxi ride   ( 85 RMB) to Beijing Capital Airport, Terminal 2 for our flight to Xian with China Eastern. Planning to  spend only 4 nights in Xian and returning to Beijing for our flight home with Emirates we elected to put some of our main luggage in storage at Terminal 2 (only 30 RMB /MED bag/24 hour period) After a very efficient First Class check in for our flight MU2106 we were invited to the First class lounge where we each had a pleasant pre flight massage (see picture) and great self service breakfast.The China Eastern MU2106 flight departed on time and on our arrival in Xian we caught the Shuttle bus, Line 1 (26 RMB per person) to the centre of Xian,just outside the Melody Hotel ,which is directly opposite the Drum Tower.Our Hotel ,the Citadines Apartment Hotel is just around the corner from the Shuttle drop off,very centrally located.
